What the free Shopify audit checks
The Shopify Growth Assessment is a free Shopify store audit that examines your storefront the way a customer experiences it. It scans your live site and assesses product discovery, product content, reviews and trust signals, pricing and delivery clarity, mobile usability, technical health, search visibility and the signals that drive repeat purchase. Every finding is backed by evidence from your own pages: real URLs, real observations and screenshots captured during the scan, never a generic checklist.
Your store is scored out of 100. A free public scan can award up to 82 of those points, because the remaining 18 cover checkout, analytics and email revenue, which can only be measured with Shopify admin access. We say that on the report rather than pretending to have measured what we could not see.
What you receive
- A private interactive report scoring your store across the whole buying journey
- An executive summary PDF you can share with your team or board
- A technical evidence appendix showing exactly what was tested and found
- An action plan you can export, organised into a focused 30, 60 and 90 day sequence
How it works
- Enter your store URL and a few details above. The tool first verifies the site is a Shopify store, and stops rather than produce a misleading score for another platform.
- The audit runs in around two to five minutes, sampling your pages, products, collections and mobile journeys.
- Your report emails itself to you the moment it is ready, so there is no need to wait on the page. Your private link stays live for 30 days.
Free Shopify audit FAQs
Is the Shopify audit really free?
Yes. The report, the PDF and the action plan are free and complete in themselves, with no obligation. It is built for UK Shopify and Shopify Plus stores turning over £500k or more. If you want us to go deeper, a paid Verified Shopify Growth Assessment connects your Shopify, GA4, Search Console and Klaviyo data, but the free audit never requires it.
Do you need access to my Shopify admin?
No. The audit only looks at what a customer can see: your public storefront, collection and product pages, mobile journeys and structured data. It never touches your Shopify admin, which is also why the report is honest about the 18 points it cannot measure without admin access.
How long does a Shopify store audit take?
Around two to five minutes for the automated scan. The report emails itself to you when it finishes, so you can close the page and carry on with your day.
How is this different from free SEO checkers?
Most free tools run a generic technical checklist and score everything out of 100 regardless of what they actually measured. This audit assesses the whole buying journey, not just SEO, shows you the evidence behind every finding, tells you plainly what a public scan cannot see, and turns the results into a prioritised plan with named owners. It was designed and built in-house by our Shopify, UX, SEO, analytics and growth team, not white labelled from someone else’s checker.
What happens to my report and my data?
Your report lives at a private, unguessable link that search engines are told not to index, and it expires after 30 days along with its downloads. We use your details to send you the report and to follow up about your results, and you can opt out of follow-ups at any time. See our privacy policy for the full picture.
