This Privacy Policy explains how Rococo Digital (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when merchants use Limitfield: MOQ & Max Limits (the “App”), a Shopify app that enforces minimum and maximum order quantities per product variant at checkout.

1. Information We Collect
We collect only the data needed to provide the App, which may include:

  • Shopify store information (for example: store domain, shop ID)
  • Authentication data issued by Shopify (for example: access tokens and session records)
  • App configuration (which variant metafields hold your minimum and maximum quantities)
  • Technical data (for example: timestamps, basic usage logs)

Quantity limits themselves are stored as metafields in your own Shopify store, not on our servers. Order quantity checks are performed by Shopify’s own infrastructure at checkout; our servers never receive cart contents, checkout data, or any customer personal information. We do not collect customer payment card data.

2. How We Use Information
We use information to:

  • Authenticate with Shopify and operate the App
  • Create and manage the checkout rule that enforces your quantity limits
  • Read and create variant metafield definitions you choose for your limits
  • Maintain security, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Shopify Data and Permissions
The App accesses Shopify data only through permissions granted by the merchant (managing product metafield definitions and checkout validation rules). We use this access solely to provide app functionality.

4. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share data only with:

  • Service providers that host or support the App (under confidentiality obligations)
  • Authorities when required by law
  • A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale

5. Data Retention
We retain data only as long as necessary to provide the App. Session records are deleted when the App is uninstalled. Your configuration and quantity limits remain in your Shopify store under your control. Merchants may request deletion of app data, subject to legal obligations.

6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

7. Merchant Rights
Depending on applicable law, merchants may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of their data. Contact us to submit a request.

8. International Transfers
If data is processed in countries other than your own, we take reasonable steps to protect it in accordance with applicable law.

9. Children
The App is intended for businesses and not directed to children.

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted here with a revised effective date.
